The paintings in Charlies 2007 solo exhibition "are the hard-won avatars that attempt to defeat the shameful taboo of our personal isolation and powerlessness. They resonate with a desire for another, better way of being. Like Rimbaud, they believe that;
"Your finger taps on the drum dispersing its sounds and a new harmony begins".
Geoff Morrow
Senior Conservator of Art,
National Gallery of Canada
Whisker has previously held solo exhibitions at the On The Wall Gallery, Belfast, the Hendricks Gallery, Dublin and at the Kerlin Gallery, Dublin. He was a participant at the 1985 & 1987 Irish Exhibitions of Living Art and at the 1988 New Irish Art, North and South exhibition which travelled to New York City.
