Johanna Connor

With a diploma in painting from LSAD in 1994, Johanna continued her studies at the renowned Motley Theatre Design Course, London in 1997. She worked successfully as a set and costumedesigner, for theatre, dance, opera and film, including at the Abbey.

As a consequence of a life altering health event in 2000, her creative path altered. Returning 

to her art studies in 2018 she received a master’s degree from Crawford College of Art

& Design, Cork and in recent years she has exhibited her work in group, solo and joint exhibitions including open selection at the RHA Annual 2024 and 2025.

In 2025 Johanna exhibited jointly with Michael Quane RHA  in PAPER - PENCIL -

CHISEL - STONE, at the Lavit Gallery and at Kelly’s Cafe, during the Wexford Opera Festival.

Commissioned  by The Glucksman to make work for Domain of the Dinosaurs a currently running at The Glucksman, until April 12th 2026. Her drawings will remain part of The Glucksman’s Art Library Programme collection.

Her work is held in both County Council and National collections.
