Tim Morris b. 1965
Working from his own foundry in Foxford Co. Mayo, Morris is best known for his unique works in metal and bronze. Stemming from internal musings, imagination and childhood memories his distinct and intuitive sculptural objects bare both playfulness and weight. Born in Wicklow in 1965 Morris served an apprenticeship as a stonecutter with Roe and O’Neill’s granite quarry from 1980-1984 and studied under the American sculptor Robert Schoen at his studio in Carrara, Italy until 1987. He has exhibited extensively throughout Ireland and is represented in both public and private collections.
