Solomon Fine Art is delighted to host an exhibition of new work by Irish artist Margo Banks. The exhibition will include a range of Banks’s popular mixed media studies of Irish wildlife. In these large, energetic works the artist strives to capture the freedom, autonomy and sense of otherness enjoyed by creatures of the wild.

In this new series of works Banks responds to the evolution and the decline of the natural environment of Ireland over millennia. Familiar Irish fauna such as the hare, fox, deer and crow are masterfully observed and portrayed alongside those which have been lost over time such as the wolf and the bear. A reminder of our fragile and declining biodiversity, this exhibition celebrates what has endured and what has been lost.
